I'm stuck *spoiler*

Ok. I am truly stuck. Maybe my fault maybe not. I am on the thieves guild quest where i have to get the forged letter. Well i got as far as giving "The Stranger" the first copy, then he told me to come back in 24 hours. I did and he told me it was not done. I have waited about a week and he still says the same thing. What am i doing wrong?

Sorry i didn't realize that a possible bug in the game required a spoiler tag.

It's not because of a possible bug, waiverdock, but because of the info about the quest.
I'm sorry, I've not done Thieves Guild so I can't answer your query.

People who have not done Thieve's Guild yet, and don't want info/spoilers, could have read your post. Hence the need to add 'spoiler' to your thread header.

the same thing happened to me so I just went and did another quest when I came back and the letter was done
