Hey i was wondering if my party would be completely screwed if, when i got imoen back, i dropped keldorn. My party without keldorn would be me, minsc, aerie, jaheira, nalia and imoen. I'm a fighter/theif i imported from bg1 with stats: 19str 20dex 18con 12int 10wis and 18cha with 2 in longbow, twohanded style and 2h swords. Would the party be seriously beyond hope in melee combat without keldorn and his holy avenger or could my character replace him?

Thx.

IMHO you can make it without him. I was a Cavalier but didn't use the holy avenger. I duel wield . It was just me and Minsc,Nalia,Jaheira,Imoen(She replaced Yoshimo) and Edwin.

I'd say drop Nalia, but I'm more of a melee guy anyway. I'm playing through this time as a Cavalier, so I've found that carrying Carsomyr with 2 rings of Gaxx and a amulet of magic resistance makes me into the thing mages fear the most (and yes you can solo Twisted Rune, hehe). No reason why you can't try the same strategy with Keldorn.

IMHO Keldorn is the worst NPC of the game.(excepr for his 2-h sword). Drop him now!!!! Image

No, you don't need Keldorn. You already have the sum of two fighters (1+1/2+1/2) in your party. Of course, it all depends on which kind of player you are. It takes a bit more finess to play through the game with just one or two fighters but it is really not that difficult.
