Well, it's up to you, I chose to actually getting every soldier available only because of the levelling you can do between all the gates, for what I had read on the forum, I'D need it. And I did good use of it, so I guess it was worth the constant getting in/out of Oblivion.

some how u can get the corrupt Cheydionhall guard to be counted as a 'hero' character (invinsable) but im not sure how?

i think that if you dnt do the wuest related he is probably not able to be killed
