Baldur’s Gate and D & D Are Truly Evil

After extensive research, it has been concluded that both are
,instead of a games, actually a teaching on
demonology, witchcraft, voodoo, murder, rape, blasphemy, suicide,
assassination, insanity, sex perversion, homosexuality, prostitution, Satan
Worship, gambling, Jungian psychology, barbarism, cannibalism, sadism,
desecration, demon summoning, necromantics, divination and many more
teachings, brought to you in living color direct from the pit of hell!!!"
A principle laid down long ago by God is: " For as he thinketh in his heart,
so is he" (Proverbs 23:7). "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of
it are the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23). We ARE what we THINK. It is
ridiculous to believe that people, young or old, can absorb their minds with
violence, murder, human sacrifice, suicide, demonology, rape, desecration,
defecation, sadism, cannibalism, sex perversion, insanity, prostitution,
necromantics, Satan worship, witchcraft, and every other form of perverted
and violent conduct without being intensely - and perhaps permanently -
affected adversely. We ARE what we THINK!
Young person, if you want to be successful, productive, well-adjusted, and
happy, then refuse to fill your wonderful mind with such garbage! Don't
allow someone else to take control of your mind. Think too much of yourself
to become a tool in the hands of those whose interest is to get your money
and destroy your faith in God.

Is this definately Serious, if yes then i agree to a certain degree, but sometimes these images are forced upon you and you don't know how to react then you will be unable to deal with a situation, you will panic and then you will freeze, which could cause you problems.
If you have been exposed to these images and know how to react then you will deal with them that much more competently.
*Clink*, "what was that",
"my two pence worth"

Can you provide an accurate quote for this research or are you just stirring up poop?

Um, let me be the first to reply (you simply put this up here for discussion and don't buy into it, correct?)
We are not such simple machines that we are what we think any more than pure thoughts alone will make us all saints.
That not withstanding- I do believe that impressionable minds should not be needlessly filled with images of violence (we here in the US have a bad habit of doing this) but I don't think this game crosses that line.
I have more to say, but let someone else have a shot- will jump back in later.

So, why did YOU buy the game?
Just to find out about this.
Before you put that, The AD&D is not perfect just like live HERE is not perfect, and your rant about witchcraft, voodoo ant others... do we all have to belive in the HOLY BIBLE I dont think so... and about TV ? that is in the News today is far worst that is in the game so... just put our head in the sand and pretend that nothing is happening in the world?... hope that a higher power will solve all our problems?....
Baldur´s gate is as a bad place as here... so quit your "Baldur´s Gate and D & D are truly evil" because Evil is a very large concept.
And by the way its AD&D not D&D

So I am swimming around minding my own business when this worm comes drifting by...
This is either foul's idea of a joke, or his evil twin. In either case I suggest we not take the bait.
Quoting the bible? The oft missused and missunderstood book has caused more bloodshed than perhaps any other (except for maybe that book by Martha Stewart)

LOL Waverly.
Personally I think the Harry Potter books are going to be the cause of the next set of apocalyptical blood-bath wars. The annoying little tw*t.

I don't remember having the opportunity to worship Satan, desecrate any shrines, defecate, or rape. (ha ha, he said "defecate") I did summon demons, but the were cute cuddly ones. I also gambled, but in real life I hate gambling, so that was kind of out of character (kind of like killing).
Seriously, though, I'm rather impressed by the ethics in this game. For example, in the Umar Hills I had the opportunity to relieve some misconceptions about a group of people who were being wrongly blamed for killings because of their skin color (and odor, etc.). That was damn impressive for a game!

Sorry guys, i got called away to a meeting and couldn't follow up on my post...just amazing what people believe isn't it? The Bothered About Dungeons & Dragons group (BADD) sent me that article a while back and I just found it. The fact that the author is being perfectly serious is the good bit....
