Eldergate

The other day I saw a game called Eldergate running on a PS2. Looked like a console RPG. A search here did not turn up anything. A search on GameSpot revealed an RPG of the same name released on Playstation (original, not PS2) by Konami in 2000. Does anybody know whether is this a remake of that game or a sequel?

I doubt there'll be any.
I have checked Japanese sites, but found difficult even to get information regarding the original one. Konami doesn't have the official page for the game either. Only chance this game might have is to port to PSP, I reckon.

If you dont no about it,then it probably didn't take off well. So no,it wont be re-released most likely.

But I saw it running on a PS2 just a couple of weeks ago. Looked like the self running demo that kicks in when you leave the controller untouched for some time. In the end it clearly displayed the word "Eldergate". That is why I was asking about it here.
Anyway, I will try to find out about it and give an update her.

Sorry, folks. What I saw WAS the 2000 version for PS 1.
