does it set your str in similar manner as belts of str ? ie you can actually get more than 22 str if you use tear of bhaal bonuses, tomes from bg1, etc

Indeed it works with the ToB bonuses, but belts have never stacked with tomes from BG1. It sets the strenght to a specific amount, just like belts, and the only thing I know that overrides it is the tear bonus.

It works in the same manner as the belts of strength. So, if you have 10 strength, equping the sword (actually using it to fight) will SET your strength to 22.

yeah ofcource. I meant if its possible to actually set it higher than 22. And following the 1st reply - so its actually possible to achieve 25 str if you also get tear of bhaal bonus +2 str and another +1 from Lum ?

No, it isn't. The only way to permanently set the strengh to 25 is wearing Crom Faeyr or exploit the export/import thingie. Lum doesn't stack with set abilities, the ONLY thing that stacks with set abilities is the bhaal tear thingie.

But 24 is +6 hit, +12 damage and 1200 lbs compared to +7 hit, +14 damage and 1600 lbs. :) It's enough.
