I have asked Buck to close my account

This is interesting, though I do not fully understand your reasoning, since I am a technical numpty as enny fule kno. However it occurs to me that advertising revenue may be related to claimed membership and that this might have financial implications. Of course the size of the membership may be entirely irrelevant to whether advertisers choose to place adverts here; and the fees may not vary with the size of the board. But it worries me. I would like to have your assurance that the size of the membership has no financial effect at all, and if you can do that I am content to leave quietly. Otherwise I must insist since I would not like to be party to any financial impropriety

I find this all very, very ironic. A few months ago, all of you people making such a huge deal out of this nonsense were at my throats about what I said when I left. Now I was asked to come back to make things more bearable, and everyone has a hissy fit, throws public tantrums regarding private subject matter and leaves. For the same reasons I did no less. Oh, the slow folk always lag behind.

Ahh, why didn't we all just listen to you before...
Just go rub it in, Mag...

The only thing I ever commented on about you leaving was the fact that you ran out of here on Aramant's coat-tails and, at the time, I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

*shrugs* I had discussed it before he considered it. Assumptions make people look like idiots.

And I only ended up regretting my own comments.

Fiona,
The technical implications seem reasonable to me, but since I've never run a forum others would be able to support/debunk the reason given better.
But quoting someone's PM isn't generally polite. Maybe if you removed it and just paraphrased the technical reason given instead? It's up to you but I wouldn't want you to be rude without intending it.

And this forum will be weakened by your absence.

Heh, too true.
Anyways I didn't disagree with some of the things Aramant and you said, it's rather prophetic now.

Except for the lynchpin of that argument...the banning of Aramant wasn't discussed by the mods.

Heh  , I suppose I hadn't thought of it that way but some of the things said about particular mods has more than proven itself true in my eyes.

Pattie and Jen always said I was a prophet. I could always tell what they were going to do.

I cannot see why it is a problem to just leave the forum without having your account deleted. It makes absolutely no difference in effect.
Also I don't understand all these drama queen personalities who must state in melodramatic ways that they are leaving and then they return
To those of you, if any, who are actually leaving Gamebanshee I wish to say goodbye and good luck in life!

ROFLMAO
at Ravager since he seems to be joking.
Yes, with regard to effect I am sure it feels very important to change the present registered members figure to 29709 instead of 29710.

Are you being sarcastic now, CE? Or you're just saying she's not important? I feel this to be a flame.
