I wonder, why some spellcasting characters have several icons of spellbook, and some have only one. Is that some kind of joke, or is there posibility to have several spellbooks? thanks

I'm not totally sure I understand your question but maybe you mean Aerie? She's both a cleric and a mage, that's why she has a mage's spellbook and a cleric's.

Are you perhaps thinking of the Quickspell icons? Right click on one of these other "spellbooks" and click a spell. It sets it as a quickspell, giving you quick access to commonly used spells.

Some characters are more spellcasting geared, while others are not. That's why fighters can equip up to 5 weapons if I'm not mistaken and mages get certain number of quick spells. Say you had a fighter/mage thief, you wouldn't get any quick spell icons, just enough for your weapons, thief skills and your usual buttons (innate, use item special ability, etc.).

Mage books can be increased by "writing" additional spells to them. Whenever one finds a spell scroll there's the option to "write scroll" on right click. By writing many different spells one gains more options to choose from in the future.
The amount of spells one can write is dictated by Intellegence in the case of mages or wizards. I'm not sure about clerics but possibly they recieve less choices with lower wisdom.

That makes sense. Thanks to all. See you on the Other side.
