Hey everyone. I was wondering what everyone's opinion on which is better:
Augmented Master Longbow (Please share which 3 augs is best)
Augmented Master Crossbow (Please share which 3 augs is best)
Or Skorm's Bow


I understand that, WITHOUT AUGS, the Skorm is better. (This is obvious - It says so in the game.) What I'm curious about is if a well thought out augment combo is stronger than Skorms Bow.

Please share your thoughts, and please have a little research supporting your thoughts. Don't just say "OmG 3 piercing = best!" if it's all you've ever used. I'm not looking for idiotic opinions, I'm looking for researched responses

Well, for any weapon, the best 3 augmentation are piercing, sharpening and experience, if I remember clearly.

I thought that Skorm's Bow comes together with 3 augmentations already? How did you get one without them?

as i do remember correctly the Skorms Bow does come with Lightning and Sharpening Agumentation..

the lightning is a waist on it, it looks nice but it does not help on damage.
Having a master CrossBow with 3 piercing or sharpening Agu's installed will eventually let u inflict more damage ass the skorms bow..

This is becouse skorms Bow will inflict 280 damage with 1 sharpening agu installed on it..( to most creatures.. weaker opponents will couse a fair damage rate of +300 ) The Master Crassbow does 200 without any agumentation, Combined with some good skill stats ur somehow better off with a master crossbow..

As i have experianced

three piercing augs will take down a rock troll with 3 snap shots with full multishot spell.

skorm takes all four.

No need for multi arrow. Even if it is my favorite spell in the game. One shoted that troll with Skorm's Bow. Took only a little charge up time for an awesome archer in fable such as myself. Skorm's Bow FTW, "Jordan steps back" *swish* Crossbows are just bad in general. They're slow and are annoying. -.-

And all you did was max out your accuracy?

The damage really depends on the amount of time you hold it.

By waititng for a minute and a half you should be able to take out a troll in one shot with Arken's Crossbow and no points in accuracy.

Treu.. I belive u could kill a troll with a Yewcrossbow in one shot, U should hold it allot longer though

yeah you can kill jack in about 3 shots if you hold the bow for long enough you can do about 1000 dammage with a master longbow without real high acuracy if you have the patience.
