basically, im getting my copy of GOTY delivered tomorro (pc) what should i do?

for instance any mod recomendations that may be particularly interesting for me (ive played MW to death but never touched the GOTY or PC editions)

are there any things to know aobut the GOTY edition that may be confusing for a standard MW player?

and lastly, any tips on optimizing my game for a lower machine.

i figured this thread would be useful for players converting to GOTY but not really knowing what theyr gettin themselves into (like me) :D

thanx to all replies :)

For mod recs, you should take a look at the sticky thread at the top of the forum. Plenty of suggestions, in detail, many with links.

I probably shouldnt be encouraging this but good mods are:
Better Bodies
Morrowind Comes Alive
MCA Playable Heads & Hair

Makes the gaming more realistic.

Julan Ashlander Companion

Coolest companion EVER, IMO.

For A low end computer I would suggest the FPS optimizer.

I've heard very mixed things about the FPS Optimizer..

What I do suggest, though, would be turn off all of your scanners (AV, anti-spy etc) before playing a mod-loaded Morrowind. You might also want to consider a RAM optimizer of some kind, I use AMS Defrag.

If you have some spare cash I'd also recommend upping your RAM to the maximum that your computer will allow (at the very least, you should have a minimum of 512 MBs). Equally, you might want to invest in the best graphics card your computer can support.

As far as mods go, like Fable said, be sure to check out the sticky on the topic. These threads are also worth a glance or two:

Make sure you install Tribunal 1st. Then Bloodmoon. If you installed Tribunal last reinstall Bloodmoon.
