Can you still cast spells of the opposition school from scrolls??? And I think the best specialist mage is the one that cannot cast Identify. Am I right?

Zubie mean you Cannot cast speels of opposition schools from scrolls, the wands thing is new to me.
Yes, Conjurers are generally believed to be the most powerful specialised mage, but they cannot dispell invisibilty, which can be a problem with enemy mages and assassins, as they will not be able to be targeted with spells.
Of course you can always leave that to your Cleric or Inquisitor.

(Could this be why Edwin and Keldorn are made to be antagonistic? Because they complement each other so well? Hmmm...)

One word...
Glitterdust!!!!!

Not as reliable and still can be saved against, but cast a greater malison and cast glitterdust. This should work.

Now this is why if you like shadow keeper and want a truely terrafying spell caster character make a conjuror/cleric using shadow keeper. all the extra spells of the specialist mage class, and the cleric spells, which include farsight and true sight, in the cleric spell list! Plus armor of faith, which is stackable. see my soon to be posted exploit in this forum.
