Dragon's Breath?

Mercurio talks about this when you meet him on the beach - it seems to be a sawed-off shot-gun of sorts. So, I was wondering.. does anyone happen to know if this weapon is actually there (like the sniper rifle which is there but not available in the unmodified game, as far as I recall) or just a mean little tease like the grenade launcher?

It doesn't exist in the game, unless he's referring to the Ithica or the Spaz.

Think he means the Flamethrower, i.e. Dragon's Breath.

Well, he said shotgun. The Ithica and Spaz are the only shotguns in the game.

But if he meant the Flamethrower, then I guess the answer to his question is yes it is actually in the game. If you have the unofficial patches installed, you can pick it up either in the Society of Leopold mission, or off of Mercurio himself at around the same point in the game.

Without the unofficial patches, the flamethrower is the Hollowbrook hotel, but you have to look around carefully. It's easy to miss.

No, no, I didn't mean the flamethrower; I found it quite some time ago, although I refuse to use it - for me, the idea of having a canister of highly flammable materials strapped to your back if fire is one of the few things that can seriously wound you ist just... well, I've had too many evil gamemasters who sent adversaries with sniper rifles, I guess. ;-)

Mercurio mentions this when asked for a combat shotgun - I think it goes about like that: "Well, I can get you a Spas-15, and also make you a Dragon's Breath - sawed-off, spits WP-rounds, few night's work" - something around that. But since it's not in the game... ah well, would have been nifty.

Thanks anyway. :-)
