I'm sure this must have been asked before but I can't find it (and yes I did search) so here goes; I have the XBOX version of the original fable and I've been looking at getting TLC, will I be able to play the expansion with my original character from the first game?

TLC isn't an expansion to the original game.

The Lost Chapters is merely Fable with a few extra features for the PC.

As such, you won't be able to use your XBOX character in a PC game.

You can however make a character identical to the one you had, if you wanted to that is.

There's an Xbox version of TLC, but my understanding is that you'll have to start over.

Not entirely this will Make u Discover the Cutscene at mazes quaters and all the extra features,

yeah,but the annoying part is that you must create everything from scratch,go through quests that youve already done in the original,get all skills again,etc

Agreed, Experianced it myself..
But if u are a DieHard fable player ( Like Me , I lost count beating the game 14 times ) u Dont care.
If there was origenal fable on PC then it would B possible still dont know why they switched Consel for the second part, doesnt sound logical...

It depends how much you did in your regular fable game in my opinion. I mean if i just got TLC after I beat jack I'd have no problem starting a new game. However if I had to start over from the work in my latest best profile of all then maybe i'd reconsider..

I had defeated Jack about 15 times and had played over 200 hours on my best account when I bought TLC. I didn't find it even slightly boring. Starting over again isn't that bad...
