Compulsive Mod Installing

I really hope I'm not alone in this...
Every so often I will reinstall my game, complete with a slate of mods. Each time I swear to myself that I will
not add more mods, since that can screw things up, create doubling etc.
And, invariably... I just can't help myself. I'll see what looks like a great mod, and I'll think... "Well... it won't hurt
too much.."
But, then I get carried away, and I'll add more and more... which inevitably leads to yet another reinstall.
Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I confess! I'm always on the lookout for new mods it appears I'll like. I install them, I upgrade them, sometimes I even play them.

I keep just finishing the main quest and about to start the expansions when I see some new mods and have to do a reinstall and then the main quest again - I must have done the main quest 3 or 4 times now and still not done the expansions lol.

Because of all the wonderful mods I've yet to complete any of the main quests so no you're not alone.

I feel so much better now
I have completed the original main quest, but not those of either Bloodmoon or Tribunal.
And yes... I also keep reinstalling because of some new quest or character development mod I absolutely
have to try

That is exactly the reason I have 2 copies of the game installed.
One is for testing purposes and not playing, the other is for "approved and certified" mods and playing.
Needless to say, most mods don't make it to the playing game...

Just for reference, Mods are NOT cheats. Even if it is your opinion, by fact they are not considered cheats lest they were categorized in cheats or called cheats in the first place.
Many mods add new quests and lands with new challenges and oppurtunities to accomplish. Download the mod-
Wizards' Islands - Scourge of the Frost Bringer
It's a pretty decently challenging mod, there are no cheats involved either.
Many of the weapon mods in morrowind or oblivion are guarded by some grand monster/NPC, meaning you have to earn it. Many tweak mods are about rebalancing the game, for instance making the skill Jump not so insane. No matter how much you have trained in jump, you jump off a cliff, you're gonna take some serious damage, and that should be the way it is, but it's not. At 100 jump in NORMAL Morrowind, you can jump from a cliff to the streets of balmora and not be hurt.
(Sorry for the rant, I just hate it when people say mods are cheats when they are definitely not)

@Siberys,
no worries, you beat me to it
To further that, many mods enhance game aesthetics by improving textures and meshes. I really don't see how they would qualify as cheats. In addition, other mods render the game more realistic by making your character require food, water or rest. Then there are all the difficulty
increasing mods...
If a mod simply adds a high powered item into the game without any need for your character to work for it, then yes, it's a cheat. But these types of mods are in the minority.
Or, cheats are defined as cheesy tricks to make the game easier. This would be one example.
Anyway... Getting back to topic..
@Arkon, that's a great idea! If I had the hard drive space I'd do exactly that. Though, I do have an unplayed backup of my Morrowind Folder with all my "can't live without" mods installed, which makes reinstallations *much* easier.

Then you aren't familiar with the mods in MW, since 95% of them aren't cheats. They involve adding houses, merchants, rebalancing weapons/armor stats, adding functionality,
killing cheats already in the game, adding flavorful NPC dialog, fixing bugs, making things more attractive, adding new quest systems and factions, all-around tweaking, etc. If you don't believe me, just go to PlanetElderScrolls and check out their library of thousands of MW mods, and see for yourself.
As for me, I'm running about 180 mods, currently. They're chosen in part to make the game harder, with more difficult guild requirements, and opponents who have better spells and potions to toughen them up.

I always look for new mods. Of coarse I check them out a bit before uploading them and one bad comment usually throws me off. Just make sure you all keep space for my mods.

Mods are definately not cheats and any cheat mod has been made in five minutes. If I was on my home computer I could prove it but then again that wouldn't be any fun.

@Fable-
Been thinking of starting a morrowind game again, and that sounds suitably realistic as far as what a "Guild" is like. What's the name of the mod or what keywords could I use in a search to find the mod that increases requirements?
I'm sure typing in "Guild" in the Planetelderscrolls search would come up with hundreds, so if there's something to narrow that down with, that'd be great.
