OK, I get to this room but can't get across the gaps. read and tried the walkthorough - but does not seem to work. I've tried the SHIFT on both statues - but the gap never narrows. Nothing happens. I've tried using Time Stop - still can't quit make it across. This is my second character - that has gotten stuck in this Shadow Ruins area. My first character is hopelessly stuck between the wall and pedestals unable to move in any direction at all.

Help please ?

I'm not very familiar but the CE but i still try to help u.I think you mean the Templar Knights statues.If it doesn't work by the first try just try to hit the shift key multiple times near them.I had the same problem(playing the normal edition) and I just tried multiple times the shift key near them and it worked.
If not save your game there,exit the game and then load again.Hope it works.

After having this exact same issue and becoming fully frustrated I read this thread and then went and tried it.

It may have been working the whole time...

I was expecting the templar statue fella to start moving or to in some way show me it was 'activated'.

The platform comes up and then goes back down. All the times before I kept pushing the shift key waiting for something to happen, not realizing that on the other side of the fire spouts the platform was coming up just for a few moments and then going back down; the entire time.

It was great reading this thread -I'm stuck in the same place - can't wait to try hitting shift multiple times and/or being aware that a paltform does come up but u cant' see it.

It helps to have a butt-load of heal pots on a hot-key above the "W" key, while wailing away on the shift key. But don't try this with a lvl 5 char on a dragon, cuz even Clint Eastwood aint THAT fast on the draw.
