two weapon fighting proficiency

im trying to get my rogue into to weapon fighting and i have short swords in each hand with ambidexterity and 2 weapons fighting feats but still gets a -2 in proficiency. is there a way to get no negotives for two weapon fighting or is -2 the best you can do?

Have you tried a shortsword in one hand and a dagger in the off-hand?

-2 ist the best you can do.
No matter what your stats are, you'll do more damage dualwielding two identical short swords than using only one.
But you won't be able to do as much damage as with 2-handed weapons.

Only when you get the Epic feat "Perfect Two-Weapon Fighting" does the -2 penalty go away - unfortunately, IWD2 doesn't even go as far as "Improved Two-Weapon Fighting" (2nd off-hand attack)!
