Hidden Mystery - Spoiler

Post by davfrahen »

I spoke to Hidden after killing the Githyaki in Jans quest and I asked him why they were after him. The screen momentarily darkened and he said `fool - there`s your answer`.!!!!
Can anyone enlighten me, please?

You didn't see him turn into a mindflayer?

No, perhaps it was too quick for me. Is that what happens and do you get enough time to attack it?

No time to attack it but the point is that mindflayers and githyanki are constantly at war. They really hate each other. Someone can probably elaborate.

I wondered if there was a tie in to what happens in the underdark after clearing the mind flayer area. The Githyaki are waiting by the bridge for their sword.

The only link I can see is with the 'sewer key' area where you find a mind flayer note with a 'the hidden' reference iirc.

when you uncover the mind-flayer plot, you get documents, but I can't recall anybody being interested in them -anybody know if somebody IS interested?

I was surprised when I had the Hidden revelation first time - shame that kind of scripting didn't happen a bit more often.

M-Fs rely on their mental prowess, which seems to have a very good range and yet when you morph into one, you don't seem to get much of their power. anyhow, the undead don't seem to worried about M-Fs, which is nice!
