Well, I went to Dagon Fel for a Morag Tong mission, and while I was there went in Sorkvild the Ravens tower and killed him (cause he was attacking me of course ). One of the spoils of this was to get the Masque of Clavicus Vile off him.

Since I'm Argonian, I can't wear it. One of the innkeepers mentioned being asked about it, I think, but I can't get any information out of anyone. And what's bugging me even more is that I'm sure I've heard someone else talking about Clavicus Vile but I can't remember who or where.

The other option is to sell it, but, I don't know of anyone with high enough funds to pay for this item.

Atm it's sitting in box. What do I do?

you get money from creeper, then buy all his suff and sell it to him, then sell the suff you bought to reagin your losses.

i thought it was an imperial legion quest, not morag tong. im not too sure about a real guy named clavicus vile, but i know that there are lists on the internet of all the npc's in morrowind. if he's a character, he would be on one of them. as to selling it, triline beta didnt seem very clear to me. to explain a little better...
1. sell creeper a bunch of stuff worth 5k or less
2. buy the stuff back, along with his 5k, and give him the masque
3. sell the cheap stuff again

I have just got hold of the mask again but i did it as one of the fighters guild quests, i've looked on 1 or 2 game related sites but there was no mention of an actual character called Clavius vile!!

Clacicus Vile is a daedric god. Read the book in the mournhold museum or the one next to Yagrum. (the dwarf) It isn't needed for any quests. I think it's cool. Just keep it where ever you live or sell it.
