minute steamworks - where?

how do i make the machined platemail? i can't seem to find any minute steamworks. i know about the the platemails in ashbury, caladon and tulla, but i want to be able to make it for myself.

The Dwarfen Clan (can't remember the name) that's actually got living Dwarfs selling things in it, is about the only place that sells Minute Steam Engines. Usually the the clan sells Steamengines too if you're looking to make Mechanised Arachnids or Automatrons too.

Inventors in several cities also have them, but they get them very rarely, maybe once or twice during the course of the game. (same goes for small steam engines)
