ShadowLord

I did a brief search on shadowlord in this forum, and didn't find anything specific beyond the already many questions. Sorry in advance, if I missed a thread on Shadowlord stuff.

Has anyone played the Shadowlord to know exactly how the Shadowlord diabolic skill works?

And I was wondering if Shadow skill was really good enough to where enemies couldn't see you, would Backstab diabolic skill be really good?

Also, since the Shadowlord gets learning bonuses to Magical Weapon, would it be best to not use Ninjitsu? In other words what would then be the best class tier setup for a good Shadowlord to prosper?

My ideas are as followed:
1) Fighter/Rogue/Samurai/Trickster/Shadowlord
-Assumption: To take adventage of Backstab, if the enemies can't see you at all times while under the Shadow mode.
-Assumption: If the enemies act like brain-dead zombies while your character is in Shadow mode...can I whomp on them with a series of attacks and have them not attack me back in retaliation?

2) Mage/Rogue/Enchantress/Trickster/Shadowlord
-Assumption: If your position (point of origin) is noted by the enemies once you attack them in melee, would having a long range, clandestined-mage character be a nice touch for playing a character who lives in the shadows away from any up-front, melee conflict?

Other thoughts on possible Shadowlord builds:
3) Rogue/Mage/Budoka/Sorcerer/Shadowlord
4) Rogue/Mage/Budoka/Battlemage/Shadowlord
5) Fighter/Rogue/(2nd tier Fighter)/(2nd tier Rogue)/Shadowlord

Anyone find out a good setup for Shadowlord, or is Shadowlord is even worth getting?

Edit-Also, if I am to understand correctly, the Shadowlord does not recieve a Special Heraldry, is that right?

Shadow Lord is useless. Just a slight decrease in physical damage while it is invoked and a minimum of not being recognized.

Shadowlord is only good at being un noticed when you are playing in a multiplayer game.. Otherwise they can still see and hurt you even in shadowlord mode.. And the higher your diabolic is in that determines the longer you can stay in that form before reverting back.

could someone post a picture of a character in shadow lord form? making a Shadow Lord might be worth it just for the sheer coolness factor (if you've got way too much time on your hands :D )
...the Shade spy unit from WC3 comes to mind...

Iceman1963 & George_K,

Thanks for the heads-up on the Shadowlord information. I guess, I don't have to worry about lost time now...as I hadn't yet started up this character build. I was hoping against hope that I could play this character in Single-Player Mode as I invisioned this character to be as a real shadow to enemies, thus piercing thier awareness. Oh, well. Thanks again.
