It should give you help no matter what party you have, although you may have to wait a few levels.

Good adventuring.

Here is how I killed that bastard. Easiest is trying to feeblemind him, though with TOB installed it is a bit harder so here is a much safer and easier way.
Have a fighter and two mages. have a cleric cast protection from fire on the three of them.
Then shoot lower resistance at the dragon ( if you can do a spell sequencer, if not shoot it 3 more times afterwards.)
Also have your mages do stoneskin on themselves.
If your fighter dies so be it.
Now you have a dragon with lowered resistance so now all you do is run around and magicmissile him to death. If he attacks your mages, just run around in circles with them. ( the stoneskin and protection from fire basically renders this guy useless.)
Oh yea haste all your guys too.

Easier than that.

Just like it says at the previously pointed to page, All you need is one item ONE!!

The wand of cloudkill. Just stand out of his rang of site and cast it about 10 times as close as possible without him seeing you. He will heal himself about half way in, but just cast it another once or twice (If it runs out) and Et Voila, dead.

(This can only be done when you get a wand of cloudkill from a merchant for around 10,000gp (50 charges), the easiest way is to sell the one you get in Irenicus' Dungeon and buy it back and it will have the 50 charges.)

You can use several tactics to fool him, but I think that mages are the key to kill Dragons.
First, you can summon some monsters to make him spent his firebreath and spells without hurting your characters.
When your party attacks Fierkraag, be sure that your mage(s) are out of his breath's range and attack him by every side so his breath (or wings) will be effective on only one character.
My favorite tactic consists in using the spell which decrease the magic resistance and finish him with a Finger Death or equivalent. My fighter, paladin and ranger are only there to gain time for my spellcasters.

Hope this will be useful,

Bye,

You should watch out because if you kill fikraag with magic then it could be possible that you don't get the items he carries and believe me, you want those for sure.

Drake. That usually only happens with spells like disintegrate. But you are right.

Yep, but Firekraag has got too much hitpoints to desintigrate him.

True, but Death spells (Finger, PW, etc...) work great. I never had any problem with them, the target is "just" killed not destroyed :D

#1 Use Yoshi to lay all his traps at the dragon's feet
#2 Have Jaheira Cast fie elemental before beginning the battle.
#3Have Jaheira cast magic resistance on the dragon, not lower resistance. This will allow you to blast the dragon with magic missiles, lightning bolts and such.
#4 fire all your spells and keep your characters away from the dragon until you run out.
#5 use potions of icedust to mitigate dragons breath.
this should make the need to get in melee with the dragon minimal

Not if you reduce his HP first.

Actually, this is how I beat him. I cast protection from evil 10' radius, then cast gate to get a pit fiend. The pit fiend plus cloudkill got him near death and then a couple magic missiles finished him off.

*cough* cheese *cough*

If ye're gonna try that in ToB, ye'll be pleasantly surprised.
