hi,
what determins if a spell is copied to your book? Or is it a random chance??

Check the manual, it has a chart i think. One number I remember off the top of my head is if u have 19 int, theres a 95% chance or something like that. At 18 I think its like 90%. And it goes down with less int

It's based on your intelligence:
0 to 8 - No chance
9 - 35%
10 - 40%
11 - 45%
12 - 50%
13 - 55%
14 - 60%
15 - 65%
16 - 70%
17 - 75%
18 - 85%
19 - 95%
20 - 96%
21 - 97%
22 - 98%
23 - 99%
24 & 25 - 150%
The percentage is rolled by the game, if you're plaing with Normal or Easy difficulty, you'll always learn spells successfully.
