Trial of Elders, Fire Spouts Trail
Anyone know an decent way to get past this. I keep dying if I try to fight it out. So much magic is being thrown at me that I can hardly do anything. I have another save that Im killing the Wizard that floats around the 3 platforms. He is close to death, but that has taken hours so far. Probably another good hour to wipe him out, but still then Im unsure how Ill fair vs the spawns. I only came with 5 potions, 2/2 heal charges. My guy is lvl 10.

I usually take my characters in at about level 12-16 into the Trial of the Ancients. I've taken in once a level 8 character, but you tend to get murdered if you don't run around like a pansy.
But, since you're almost done with the Trial just do what spudcooking said. And make sure the Difficulty Mode is on Easy...to, uh, make it easier.
Next time you play, (if you play next time), make sure your character is somewhat buffed (level 10-12, when entering Trial). It helps. Plus, I'm not sure why you wouldn't be on level 11 or 12 after defeating banshee(~3,000,000) and ancient master (~7,000,000EXP/ADV)...unless you entered the Trials on levels 6 thru 8.

Apparently I didn't do enough levelling... my Urgoth fighter was level 8 when I entered the trial, and almost level 11 when I left (I killed 2 of the Elders and got over 1.3 million exp total); I didn't find the Trial of Flames to be as difficult as it should have been. Basically, I used 2 strategies that helped a lot. First, the fireball thrown by the wizard is very helpful; just make sure some enemies are between you and the fireball, and you'll be fine. Second, when I saw that enemies were about to spawn, I would stand on one of the spawn points; if you are standing there when the enemy would have normally spawned, the game will not let the enemy appear. There are times where you can eliminate two or three enemies in a row by doing this. Of course, you get less experience and spoils, but that's ok by me. Another thing you could try is while you're waiting for enemies to spawn, watch for where the wizard teleports to and stand directly underneath his platform. He won't be able to fire off his fireball at you.
But basically, the only way to pass this Trial is to kill all the enemies, so you're in for a decently long fight. Good luck.
Lateron.
