Hi, I might buy DL, but I wanted to know, what's the max level you can reach? In GW, max is 20 which is dumb. Someone tell me plz. Oh I was also wondering, can you go online and party with others?

The highest lvl I've seen posted is 80, but the max may be even higher.

Yes, there is online play, but I 've never tried it.

From what I've read in the forums, Dungeon Lords has so many problems with multi-player that I wouldn't recommend you buy it, if that's what you're looking for. It's fine for single player though.

-I got my Female Human to Level 81...and finally just retired her. I never even got her Warlord 3rd tier. It seems like you could take a character up to at least level 99, but most of the time you should get tired of playing your character between levels 35-50. That's when skills/attributes start getting harder and harder to raise. Also, there is a very limited amount of equipment in this game, so that makes the game playing experience shorter and less fun.

-As far as playing online...I have yet to get on. I never could connect...possibly to do with the fact that I have dial-up...but, whatever...I've been a single player person for most of my life...so I can deal with it.

-There's bugs in this game...the strike stat is the killer for me in this game. I'm almost always wanting to play a Zaur or Urgoth...due to their low dexterity (which means its harder to raise their dexterity...thus being able to keep their strike statistic below 100...safe from the strike bug).
-The races needed unique skills and abilities that would differ from each race, but that was not offered. The only difference between races in this game is in their base resistances and their lowest attribute stats become somewhat harder to raise.
-There is also some bugs in the spells in this game.
-Even in CE version the listing for "Learning Bonuses" is not accurate from what each character class list. The CE booklet has most of the correct "Learning Bonuses" assigned to the proper class...but, the game screen will lie to you. (Don't trust the game screen...its a liar). :)

I bought it because I have always loved character building. I'm not at all interested in the plot...that's where most games lose interest for me. I don't even think I knew what the plot was about for several months...as I only wanted to build characters.

Also, one more thing...if you like long walks on the beach, then this might be your game. The traveling...is BORING...and TAKES FOREVER TO WALK FROM ONE PLACE TO THE NEXT....and EVEN ONCE YOU GET MOONSTONES FOR TRAVELING...IT STILL TAKES FOREVER. I prefered the game maps of Diablo 2.

I have my character up to 80 and I am about to enter the final stages. I saw someone post a character at 101. It is possible if you are willing to explore for hours and hours, do a few slaughtering of moonbeasts and firedrakes, using spawning rooms til your sick of them etc.

I heard so many bad things about dl before buying it but I read some brilliant ones and I am so glad I bought the game coz its great. I haven't had many problems what so ever apart from having to buy a new computer to run it haha.
