Well after several months of playing and exploring, I finished the game. I love playing magic characters and chose a mage, adept, enchantress, sorcerer, wizard and I must say I was pretty devestating. I deliberatly worked up my magic towards the end of the game fearing I wouldn't be strong enough to fight the final bad dude, and low and behold, 4 cataclysms and the game is over.
I have never played a role play game twice, rather I like to build up my party or character to be the strongest they can be so I don't have to, but I must say as to the ease of my destruction of the end game, I am very tempted to play again as a fighter and see how I go with less leveling up. As my poor wizard had no good armour or weapons, it would be a great start to try as a different character.
After all the bad press that was given to this game, I only had two real glitches, one was when I tried to open a cabinet and I got stuck behind it, but after all the advise I often saved so I had no problems reloading a previous game and second was when I didnt get the key for that nasty demon in the tomb of souls. So no real biggies and I thoroughly enjoyed this game and would recommend it to anyone to at least give it a try!
Thanks to everyone who helped! I enjoyed the game! Have fun playing, E
YAY! I finished

It just means more clicking of your mouse button. As not all attacks are ensured with the Strike stat versus an automatic hit with magic. Plus, you have to remember to keep your dexterity at or under 70 to stay away from that nasty Strike Bug. Which means the best choices for a starting character is the Urgoth or the Zaur for their low dexterity scores. And you have to use the Hex-editor for the Urgoth's big butt. So, choices are limited. And I seem to always end up using a Zaur for a fighter. I get turned off by using the Hex Editor for the Urgoth, but I love using the Urgoth in order to boost the Strength stat up to 120-130 (fairly easily).Enchantra wrote:I am very tempted to play again as a fighter and see how I go with less leveling up.
Plus, when you fight groups of enemies, using the *nova's* is almost essential...as it is hard to always fight one on one (mashing your index finger on the mouse)...when surrounded by things like wolves (who, like Lister and Company from Diablo 2 Expansion Pack, eat straight thru your defenses)...and thus knock you around good. So, straight out Fighter characters still need use of magic...at least against low ADV/EXP-giving enemies. Against Moonbeasts, my Fighters generally always use physical melee weapons...as the fighter's magic damage is so poor against some magic resistant creatures.
Oh, and by the way, congradulations for finishing the game. I finally decided to try to finish the game after creating over a dozen character builds. My level 56, Zaur, Hatamoto/Battlemage has only one more relic to collect. Having my Critical Strike up to level 13, Bleeding Wounds up to level 11, Arcane Magic level 16, Scribe level 8, most of my attribute stats above or near 100 (dexterity is currently at 81 for obvious reasons), deathlord armor/shoulders and 2nd best heavy armor (gold looking armor pieces), Kama of Flames, Mog's Totemic Runemace, +dmg bonus at +133%, I find it darn near impossible to die and very easy to wipe out the enemy characters. So...very soon, I shall see you all at the finish line. Hope it has a better ending than "Sacred's" Pre-expansion ending. (I never bothered getting the expansion to Sacred).

The no-dachi of winter freezes opponents, so it's the one people usually look for.desertfox wrote:wow impresive amour.
