When you get to the page showing the high speed service providers have you scrolled all the way down?
There are two types of servers. The first listed are for paying customers and boast no waiting. The last couple are free, and should work just fine.

edit: nevermind, i figured that out, but is there a certain place i should save it?
edit 2: ok, i figured it all out. thanks!
edit 3: not figured out. i downloaded it, but it doesn't show up in data files on morrowind. i found it in my computer, but its a different type of file. how do i get it to work? its a .rar if that matters. and... i made it so it opens with the CS, was i not supposed to do that? it didnt help.

After you download the mod, you have to unzip it. Use WinRar (Just google it or go to download.com to find the program) Then unzip the file and follow the instructions in the readme that will be in the folder you unzip the mod to. Most mods want you to unzip them into the data folder of your MW directory, but a few are different. Just follow the readme for the mod and you'll be fine.

ok, im back, and winrar is confusing me. how does it work?
nevermind, i got it completely figured out. its a great mod, the only thing wrong with it is that i have a comp with a horrible graphics card and it keeps freezing

o well, it was something to do with my time.

Which download should I pick since I went to download.com? There are a lot of them and Idk which ones will work the best. Also, I can't open my downloaded files...I don't think I'm saving them to the right place or something.

Winrar 3.61 is the latest version I think.
If you are trying to open mods that have to be opened with the program, then you won't be able to open them until you download and run Winrar. Once you do that, just open any mod you have downloaded the same as you would open any other program and then extract the files to wherever the mods readme says to extract them to,

@Asylum,
if you are asking about unzipping utilities I highly recommend Zip Genius. They are free and they unpack almost any kind of file. I've used them for years and never had any problems.
As stated on their website:
ZipGenius is the absolutely free software for Windows® that lets you compress files to almost any kind of archive. ZipGenius supports more than 20 compressed archive formats, including CD/DVD-ROM image files in ISO9660 standard. This is the file compression suite you were searching for: it is free and easy to use, plus it supports more than 20 formats of compressed archives, including RAR, ARJ, ACE, CAB, SQX, OpenOffice.org documents and the excellent 7-zip. ZipGenius now can precompress executable files going to be added to a ZIP archive through the UPX compressor.

Wait a minute...so when you click to download this happens?
You should have two choices:
Open
Save
You need to click on save.... Ideally to your desktop so it is easy to find. Then once the mod is downloaded, right click on it and where it says "Open With," select whatever unzipping utility you have...

ok I got that working but now everytime I try and open them into the Construction Set a msg appears and says there was a texture error

You don't need to open them in the construction set... that has nothing to do with it....
This thread should give you some pointers on mod installation..

OK, I'm confused...
But I also have a raging headache and a slight fever, never a good combination with computer issues.
I'll tell you what, check out that thread link I just gave you and see if any of the instructions there help, and I'll check this thread sometime tomorrow. Or, maybe somebody else will have stopped by before then.

If you extracted the files, then clicked on the individual file, then all you are doing is opening up that file, hence it wanting to use the CS to view it. You're opening the file, not installing it that way.
There should be a readme file in the folder you extracted everything to. Open it, not the actual CS file. It should have step by step instruction on how to install the mod. If it doesn't, double check to make sure you extracted everything in the zip file and not just the CS file. Just follow the readme instruction step by step, or follow DW's link step by step.
