Hi there. I was wondering if someone of you guys knew and could tell me how to play BG2 SoA over the Internet. Me and my buddie tried to, but it just wouldn't work, and neither of us know what's wrong.

We both have the European version.
We have the same configuration and have tried to make bg pass through our firewalls. Pleeease tell me what could be wrong if you know.

edit: ok sorry, my buddie had the us version. And that's the reason right, you can't use different versions over the internet, or?

I have the U.S. version and I have played with people that have the European version.

Make sure that both of your game shave the same patch version.

It is also possible that whoever hosted has a router with a built in firewall, which you have not disabled. If either of you have a lap top, you could try hosting at one person's house, and because you and your friend would be on the same network, the router would no longer block him.

Is that so? Hmm.. Well it was me who hosted and I turned my firewall off, and somehow found a list of programs that where denied or granted access to the internet and made all "forgotten realms Baldurs gate" files granted access.

But that's weard because my buddie tried to host to, and he didn't have his firewall up either. When we was loocking for games, trying to Join Game, it just went: Didn't find any games etc.

Thank you though, we will check the patches once again.
