The HotU relic has three abilities: 1) It saves you and your items at the point of death, eating a rogue stone. 2) It allows you to mark specific spots in your travel for subsequent return, again eating a rogue stone for each mark. 3) It allows you to return to the reaper's dimension, and decide which marks to travel to. This doesn't eat a rogue stone.

I understand the first ability vanishes after chapter one. What about the others? Can you still mark and return, and visit the reaper's dimension, using the relic, in chapters 2 and 3?

Yeah the mark and return/reaper dimension abilities are there after Chapter 1, but if I remember correctly once in Chapter 2 you cannot travel back to areas in Chapter 1. In Chapter 3 I don't think you can use the relic at all.

I haven't played the game for awhile but Im pretty sure you dont even have the relic in chapter 3. Though then again i could be wrong.
