I have played through BG 2 twice and have started numerous other parties. i have noticed all the items '... of Balduran'. So ive decided to creat a fighter, Balduran.
I was wondering if anyone knew all the locations of the Balduran items.
BTW i have the bonus merchents.

In case you don't know, you can use an exploit to bring his helm, cloak, sword and butter knife in from TOSC. His helm can also be found in Irenecus's dungeon in the room before the Dryads. I know that I've seen the cloak but have forgotten where. If you know the exploit or don't want to use it, fine, but if you want to know more, just ask.

The cloak is in the files but not in the un-modded game. The helmet is in Irenicus' dungeon and the rest can be bought from Deidre at the Adventure Mart.

I don't know unless you use Shadowkeeper or Clua it in. I've hear though that it shows up somewhere if you use the Tactics mod. I'm not going to do that myself because the game is hard enough for me as is.

You mean that you can't bring the butter knife into SOA? How are you expected to beat Irenecus without the dreaded butter knife?

It can be imported from TOSC. Do you know how to obtain it there?

You can bring it in from TOSc as can be seen in attachment. I never use Shadowkeeper or CLUA.

Let me rephrase then: You can't get it without cheating. Sorry.

I fail to see how it can be considered cheating to use an exploit, and not cheating to use shadowkeeper or CLUA.
The advantage of using the exploit only helps through Irenecus's dungeon anyway, as the items that can be brought in are very quickly made obsolete by those found in SOA.

The butter knife is never obsolete. My solo Kensai uses it as a primary weapon. Meh.

They are all some form of cheating but you can play your game the way that you want.

That was my point.
Besides the cloak need never be obsolete. The 25% MR should be useful through the game. Although it's most useful if the cloak adds the MR instead of setting it to 25%. And since it's ages since I've played the first game and I haven't ever really seen the need to cheat it in I don't remember which it is. If it adds the 25% just slap it on Viconia and she will already be at 90%... Don't tell me that that's not powerful. In fact since she could use more hit points why not give her the whole set. Well except for the sword of course...

Ignorant question - which item in the image represents the butter knife?

As you probably guessed it isn't there.

I was not criticising your method of playing the game, I was simply letting Slim Jim know that there are other methods of importing items into the game.
Getting back to topic however, if Slim Jim is a purist, it is probable that the items can be found, if a character carrying them is imported into the game. This is certainly true of Kirinhale's staff-spear and the golden pantaloons, so it could well be true of Balduran's Cloak and Butter knife.

Methinks that thou dost disemble, for when I tried to equip the dreaded butter knife I was unable to do so. Even Cromwell was unable to help me. If however I am misjudging you, I would be grateful if thou wouldst inform us as to how you performed this great feat.
