adding to strength

I have heard some people say that the evil tears (strength) from killing sarevok will add onto the greater werewolf form raising it from 21 strength to 23 strength. Some people say that is not true because it is a fixed value. Others have said that it does carry over to greater werewolf form. I would imagine it could be possible because draw upon holy might carries over to the gw form so why shouldn't the tear for strength carry over as well? Can someone officially give me a YES or NO if this is possible? I haven't tried it yet and have a long way to go. I would like to know before I really continue with this character. The strength from one of the tears would really help the greater werewolfs thaco since it is pretty pathetic even at higher levels.

Yes, the strength bonus you gain in Hell for taking the evil path in the Test of Wrath carries over to both the werewolf and greater werewolf forms. Here's why: the strength bonus is applied to your PC as an affect, rather than added to your strength score.

Thank you for answering my post. You just don't know how much this means to me. I have been pondering on this issue for weeks and finally can rest in peace knowing the answer. Again thank you.

I am very sorry for asking another question. I feel so self-centered in doing this. But back to my question if I wouldn't have attempted to kill Sarevok to get the high strength, what would I get as a replacement? And if I don't sacrifice one of my characters to get the ac adjustment, what would be the other tear? Again I am truely sorry for asking again and wouldn't blame you for not answering me.

Thanks Drow Elf. I'm glad there are very kind people like you to take your time to help those in need (even if the needing isn't really needed).

attacking sarevok also adds +1 to your main stat. So if you have a character from BG1 you can get a "natural" str of 23 if you are lucky, and then there are a couple of items to raise it to 25. Well, then there are girdles.....
