No.
You are partially visible which means enemies will see you. Thus ruining the possibility of sneaking up behind them again.

*** Cheese Alert ***
If you cast Mislead, you can backstab as often as you like.

I tried with Nalia and it seemed to work fine. For extra cheese, send the decoys out of the bad guys' sight.

Does Shadow Door work the same way?

Doubt it. After a backstab attack, the engine checks to make sure something becomes 'visible'.
Since the mislead dummy is already 'visible' it doesn't change the main character.

it would be good to have a cloak or spell of non-detection equiped, with it you can kill anythting that does not see invisible creatures(like dragons)

Nah... Shadow Door gives you invisible and improved invisible status. After you attack (backstab), the invisibile status disappears, leaving you with improved invisible status, which is the 'shimmering'. While improved invisible, you can be spotted, but not targeted with spells. You can only backstab while completely unseen (that is, invisible).
Mislead works differently from all the other invisibility spells in that it constantly re-applies invisible status. After the backstab you become improved invisible for an instant, but then regain invisible status again, allowing you to keep on backstabbing.
This is almost definitely Cheese, especially if you send the decoy away. But hey, if Irenicus can do it...
