I'm having a really hard time getting to the southern part of the Naga West Temple. There is one gate that will not open and I can't find a lever or key. And I'm not sure where to find Valdane. Can anyone help?

If you look at the walkthrough map, the gate is gate #5. Thanks

The gate at #5 won't open until after you've erscued Valdane (just like it says in the walkthrough). You'll need to go through the trapped room at #11 and then move on to the eastern part of the temple via either Exit E.
