shadow stones area help

yea im playing DL CE and im in the shadow ruins. i have activated all the runes except for one. the one in the shadow stones area. i guess i messed up with the stones to make the Athena guardians come to life. if i cant make them come to life then i cant kill them and i cant get to the shadow stones area. i cant find anything else to do. please help help.
