Party Question

After going through some early parts of the game to reaquaint myself, I started over in Multiplayer (because I like creating my own party)...I've decided to go with 4 people for the challenge but I've gotten to a little issue...

My main is:
--Cleric/Ranger
Others:
--Thief(9)->Fighter(8)
--Kensai(9)->Mage(4)
--Sorcerer

The problem lies in the Kensai, which I just dual-classed to Mage with at lvl 9. I was doing fine with quests/fights up until now. Now though, I am extremely weak because I have lost my best fighter and he only casts up to level 3 spells right now. I've done the Circus Tent quest, Free Hendak Quest, and a few minor side things to get xp...I've done the majority of the quests in Trademeet/Druid Grove, and haven't really done any since because I don't know which ones to do with my current party. Any ideas?

And cheating isn't an option. I did that once a long time ago, and it ruined the fun.

Depends on what you skilled your chars in. Both the F/T and R/C can be good fighters; have one standing in the front line, the other use ranged weapons (best would be Tuigan bow). If neither has ranged weapon proficiencies, put them both in melee.
I'd prefer the R/C in front, since he can wear any armor you want, and cast ironskin. Which weapon doesn't matter so much, I find that ranged attackers are the ones who really deal the damage.

I'd do the remaining trademeet/druid grove quests.

The quests in the city are usually easier than the quests outside, so you can do all of them first. (I'd avoid the sewers below the temple and the Sphere however.)
You can do some little fetch quests in the temple district.
In the docks district you can work for Xzar and the thief guild.
The graveyard (above and below) isn't too hard either. There are even more of them in BG city.

But any quest you get offered can be solved even with your current party status. Those quests are designed to be solveable for a party coming straight out of the dungeon. So don't bother too much about being too weak and do the quests you want to do now.

If you want fast XP you can have Jan join your party temporary and pickpocket citizens and merchants (drink a potion). After dismissing him your mage can scribe the stolen scrolls to increase the party experience and shorten the dualing period.
