can you buy this spell? how else do you find it? (im just guessing random spawning for now)

i thought i saw somewhere you can buy it.. i could be wrong.

the first time i found this spell was in the dungeon of irenicus,.. but my main character on that save file/game IS NOT a mage.

on my mage save-file i never found it in his dungeon, and i cant seem to buy it anywhere..

There is one in the de'Arnise keep , in the chest right next to the forge where you create flail of ages.

Also if you just stay in Athkatla for a while and watch the Guild wars going on, the second time you witness a fight, one of the shadow thieves will drop a Find Familiar Scroll.

make a save before hand and sleep a few times in Chateau Irenicus
you can get lucky and find one there.

yea, i got one from the shadow thieves...


i managed to watch until i had to fight 3 vampires.. and WHOOOOOOOOOaaa took some spells to take them down.. and got warning from cowls.


anyway, what is it about sleeping and getting lucky?

i got another question.

I never tried this but it says that the find familiar spell can only be casted by the PC.

does this mean that any character can cast this spell or only those that can use spells (quick item and/or mage/sorc)?

The caster has to be the one you created, the child of Bhaal. He/she must also be able to cast mage spells.
