Technical question?????

I have AMD 2.8 processor and Radeon 9600 XT graphic card. When i play DL for some time, graphic card restarts and error report sayes that graphic accelator doesn`t have any response from graphic card. But if i desable VPU ( that is some program wich restarts graphic card to secure system from restarting) my motherboard restarts.
I heard from some people that maybe my graphic card is not compatible with DL game. Is that posible??
