bg2 jaheira romance troubles on step 56 =/

hey hey folks. So i started playin through the game again in the past month or so and ive been workin on the jaheira romance as ive gone along. Everything was fine...but then I got to chapter 6...got to the graveyard and jaheira didnt get cursed, and i killed bodhi and still nothin happened. I tried to figure out what went wrong or what was goin on. Turns out im on step 56 (lovetalk = 56) out of 70 of the jaheira romance, which i guess is still stage 1 (not committed i think). Oh and i dont have any patches yet for hte game, and no expansion installed atm. Been lookin at diff. websites here and there to try and figure out the problem.

I looked at hte extreme romancin guide and maybe i couldnt find out what was wrong there but shouldnt the next dialogue (#57) come up eventually? I tried resting in the woods and still nothin happened. As if it was bugged or somethin on step 56 or i just havent waited enough RL time for it to get there. I dont know, but maybe i should wait a while before going to the graveyard to fight bodhi? At least until i get to stage 2 of the romance. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah most people tend to have trouble with the Jaheira romance because it's practically the only one that depends on quests and other events in order to advance properly. Did you already have the 'hostage' moment in the wilderness? That's cruxial. Also did you do the harper's quest and so and so? Even gotten her back after she leaves and 'Elminster' appears? -

Myself I installed many patches and many romance mods and different things to expand the existing game, - frankly I installed so much stuff it's impossible to tell you what to put in to fix it. But try patching it, installing the expansion and getting a few mods for romance bug-fixes. It might help.

Yeah already had hte hostage moment, yeah had hte harper quest and got her back from the harper building. She might have been turned to stone at one point, i dont quite remember, but that would put her to stage 3, but apparently shes stage 1 at the moment. I might have left the expansion back home. Do u recommend hte latest patch? I'm not sure which ones will fix it. I assume if jaheira isnt cursed then eventually ill get to ch7 without hte romance going forward.

Jaheira's romance is full of holes, I myself never fully finshed or rather, carried on her romance to the Expansion - I stopped half-way. But I digress, I recommend yes that you download the latest patch (hopefully it'll fix it). And then just... pray it works hehe.. because I really don't know what could fix it except restart it from scratch.

I think I fall somewhere around this point as well. I have done all the things along the way that seemed correct dialog wise. The hostage, the keepsake, etc., but although I get to the "outcast" so to speak part. I never seem to get to the resolution where she gets a harper pin. I am now frequently interrupted after a fight by her with the same irritating dialogue of:
"Umm, I was wondering, that last fight, how did it make you feel? Did you 'enjoy' it?"
I tried reloading and even tried giving different responses just to see if that made a difference. Didn't seem to. Jaheira seems permenent 'stuck' on this dialogue.

(EDIT) I went ahead and finished the game and took her to Throne of Bhaal but the romance never seemed to finish.

well nothing really changed so i just used the cheat thing to set it to 57, and right after i did that hte dialogue came up and im on 59 now. A little disappointing but i guess it worked! Jaheira got cursed right when i entered the graveyard in chapter 6, so i guess everything is OK atm (with the cheat to 57 of course).

Well be sure to keep us posted if there are any other problems later. I really want to know. The more data I have on Jaheira's romance bugs the better I may come up with a patch to fix it.

I've read on these forums in the past that this will kill a romance.
