What are the best attributes to use to upgrade for a person carrying a double-bladed sword[not lightsaber] and wearing armor for the entire game? :)

I would pump all of my attribute upgrades into dexterity and select the "finesse - Melee Weapon" feat at some point. This has the effect of increasing your defense significantly, as well as your "to hit".

I'd use a light upgradeable armor (like Bonadan Alloy) that has a high dex bonus.

As for feats - master two-weapon fighting is a must, master critical hit and master flurry would be top of my list as well.

Hope that helps.

Since you need a lot of reflexes when using melee weapons, I'd recommend wearing light armor and spending some point on dextery (attribute) - and I would definitely try to gain master power attack and/or master flurry (feats). Also, fighting with a single sword kan be more deadly than fighting with two weapons, especially when you've spent some points on duelling (feat). And by the way, you better be a soldier too, because otherwise these feats may be too much to gain.

If you take about 18 dex, and use medium armor, thats pretty useful. You can always take 18 str and con and use heavy armour, then spend rest of your attribute points to strenghth... As for feats, specialization to melee weatons, master 2 weapon fighting, and all the close combat moves to master. :)

Ok, I figured using strength a lot would be good, but you guys say dexterity. What exactly is dexterity, and why would you use it so much? I thought dexterity was used for people with blasters. :)

Actually - you DO want to pump up your strength. When I said "Dexterity" before, I was thinking of KotOR II, which has a useful feat that KotOR I does not, called "Finesse - Lightsaber", which allows you to substitute your dexterity bonuses instead of strength bonuses to your "to hit."

For KotOR I, definitely pump up your strength.

Dexterity is a measure of how graceful or clutzy you are. For instance, somebody who is not dexterous will never learn to juggle.

If you got lots of dex, then dont use armour(exept maybe light). It rises your defence, but if you are wearing medium or heavy armour you wont get so much dex bonus... You can read it from the armor description. The amount of the def bonus is that another number there in character sheet. If you have a dex of 16, its like this.

dexterity 16 +3

You will get bonus 3 to def.

Hope that helps you :)

Well, I remember that in KOTOR 1, the 'Finesse - Lightsaber' skill is present (only when that person is a Jedi). This is useful when you are a Jedi and have high dexterity. However, if that person is not a Jedi, as what the others had mentioned, it is still good to focus on dexterity as it increases your chances to avoid attacks.

But I won't be carrying a lightsaber, I'll be using a double-bladed sword. But I of course, will be a Jedi eventually, but still won't carry the lightsaber except for maybe Dantooine. :)

Well, you could try out the suggestions posted at Alcina's Advice on building a non-Force-Using PC thread at the KOTOR 2 forums. Hope this helps. :)

I would go for 15 in str pump to 20 base and 16 (need even # for bonus) con. don't get 18 as that's wasteful. put the rest in wisdom to have decent resists vs force powers. I would reccomend a scout 5 > guardian if you are going to get flurry and implants they will actually have more feats then a soldier due to the usefull free feats they get.

I've played Kotor many times and I can tell you from expierience that the tough bosses will hit you anyway and my strongest ever char. was a dark scout 5 guardian. don't remember my stats but he had about 35 STR end game, max 2 weapon fighting, flurry, toughness, and lightsabers BAB of about 40 .

essentially I went all dmg Malak could not last more than 2 rounds when I had master speed on. it was extremely satisfying chaseing him around like a whipped dog from battery to battery, until he ran out, and then claiming mantle of the dark lord for myself.
