Wendersnaven (SPOILER)

Post by Ranil »

Hey all.
Thanks for the info I asked last time about the construct.

Any ways my new big question.

Whats the deal with the wendersnaven? I got the two professors to give me the map location. I get there and Grobnar says This is such an odd clearing etc. Elanee even says something about the land saying something in tune? Other then that I find this journal by the relentless poet on how he came looking here for the wendersnaven and got killed by orcs.

Long story short I show up and now nothing. Some thing I am missing here?

Nope. That's basically 'it'. If Grobnar found the invisible instrument ( should be a cutscene there with him making a fuss about playing it ) and you were afterward attacked by orcs as well, there's nothing more you can do there except making sure you click on the ore deposit to report to your miner(s). Also, check Grobnar's inventory... there should be a nice little surprise in it. ;)

Normally, once you put the diary of the Relentless Poet into your inventory, a cut-scene should start. Try reading the diary, maybe that triggers it. During the cut-scene, Grobnar stubs his foot on something; that's the invisible instrument.

I don't remember the instrument's stats because I almost never took Grobnar with me, but you *can* equip it, as far as I remember.

Sorry for asking this here:

I had grobnar with me and I spoke with those two gnomes but all he said was that it made sense to him and nothing more.

Am I doing something wrong?

You'll get a quest to find them in Act III. You won't be able to do anything about them until then.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Influence with Grobnar (spoiler)

You can also have a long discussion at one point with Grobnar regarding the Wendersnaven and the instrument. If all goes well, you can seriously increase your influence with him.
