A few small questions

- Bow: I had some combat questions with using a bow
- [Answered]Does holding the trigger longer equate to more damage? Or just range/arc.
- *Will damage increase if I were to hit them in the head as opposed to the feet?
- [Answered]Once the arrow is pulled, is there a way to dry fire it? Where you don't fire, so that I don't lose a charge on my bow.
- [Answered]Are there enchants that will potentially not be charged? So I don't have to constantly be recharging my items.
- [Answered]Can I enchant arrows?
- Soul Gems: Reading through various search pages here, I found some things..
- [Answered]If I have only 2 petty gems, both are filled, go to collect another soul, but it ends up being petty again: Will my next rank of gem be filled with a petty soul? Or will the soul have a higher potential, and will fill the full size of the "common" gem?
- *If it does only fill as a petty, is there a way to clear the gem, or write over it with a stronger soul?
- [Answered]Can I enchant over top of a previously made enchant? Say if I wanted to change my nightsight to a nightsight+view living.
- *Possible Spoiler: Vampire: Is there a way to get reinfected if I were to go through with the "cleansing" quest? (I am on the XBox; the wiki page said no, but some threads on here said yes.)
Thank you

Bows-
Yes on the first one, If you just click, you get a wimpy fire, but if you hold it in for a second or two, you get the maximum damage potential out of that bow.
I'm not sure on the second one, I did notice one time battling a troll, I used a bow and hit it in two different places, on it's foot, it took the normal damage, on it's left shoulder, it stumbled for some reason.
Soulgems-
Yes, it will be a petty soul, I've done that with common and greater soul gems before and gotten petty souls in them, plus, whatever way you use them (sell, recharge magic item, or create magic item), it's a one time use.
Azura's Star however, you should read into what that's about on Gamebanshee's Daedric shrine quests, it's a pretty handy item.
I have no clue about the third part.

this is about your 2nd question for the bow.
It is not for sure but i believe it is divided into parts.
lowest- legs and arms
average- torso
high- neck and head.
i am not completely sure though. hopefully if i'm wrong someone will come along and correct me.
I noticed that when i shot a bandit form behind with a sneak attack in the head. It killed him in one shot. The next bandit was identical to the other (except for the face) and i shot him in the back with a sneak attack and he lived (not for long).
I also noticed it works only one bipedal creatures, not quadrupeds.
if i am wrong correct me because i don't want to give him the wrong idea.

New Questions-
Nope, once you load the bow, it must be fired, but you can fire it into the ground and just pick it up, it will never perish when fired on the ground.
The only enchants you can do with constant effect are on armor, weapons, lest gained from treasure and are unique, will never have constant effect.
You cannot enchant a previously enchanted.
You can indeed enchant arrows.
