i hav problem with hardware...please sort it out

im playing oblivon amd athlon64 3000+ processor ,geforce fx 5200 graphics card , 512mb ram and sata hard disk...
im playing at the very minimum settings still there is stuttering in the game..
really kind of freaking by it...i dont want to upgrade my hardware now...
is there any other way making the game to run smoothly,,,,
also please throw some light how to join the mages guild..

im having the same prob as well, so ive changed these options

blood decals - low
tree shadows -off
items fade - at the end
object fade - at the end

im not at home so i will update with the rest of the changes

what this does, is lowers the graphics of the game for people who are using mini requirements. there are screenshots of the game on the site that will show you the different specs
