What patch(es) do I need?
What mods do I need?
Any other mods that are suggested?
What order do I patch/mod the game?
Where do these files go?

I'd really love to take a small (3 or 4) character party through the whole game. Please help me make it happen! (I will be able to import all of my self-made characters from BG1 into BG2, right?)

I'm going to start with a fresh install of both games.

TIA

At the bottom of this page, the author lists the items to install in the proper order in order to have a "good" installation.

I have followed this list several times and never had a problem with the end result.

Looks like this might be a no-go.

For some reason, I keep getting a "not responding" message when I try to do a full install. It's very frustrating!

I am also trying to download easytutu. However, I keep getting the reply that my security settings will not allow it. Please could somebody tell me what security settings are required to do so? I currently have security settings at medium and a Norton Firewall.

Do you get this message when trying to install BG1, BG2, or EasyTutu?

If EasyTutu, have you performed full installs of BG1 and BG2 ensuring to select everything (i.e. movies, data, etc)?

Do you have enough available disk space for the install of EasyTutu?

I've never encountered that problem before. Try setting your security settings to low and disable the firewall for the download.

BG1.

I have plenty of discspace.

Have you disabled any anti-virus and firewall programs before attempting to run the BG1 setup?

My McAfee didn't like the gamespy.exe program because it was listed as a PUP. Your setup might be getting stopped by your anti-virus program but not displaying a notification and basically just hanging there.
