Has anyone else gotten PO-ed over not being able to kill Edwin?
I really didn't want to kill that CW for him 'cos he's evil and thus my roleplaying instincts held me back. Instead I got into a fight with him but at a certain point he just disappeared; no magic involved (sucha as Shadow door, teleport etc.)
It left me with an unfinished quest but without the satisfaction of showering in his blood..

No he has never disapeared with me...
Where did this happen???
(Mea'Var quest or just whenn you can meet him in the slums)

Why would you want to kill Edwin? He's by far the best mage in the game. Force him to help you in your noble quests, instead. As long as you're in control of him, what harm can he possibly do? Satisfaction of showering in his blood? You wouldn't be a bit evil here yourself, would you?

you can't kill NPC's. and yes Astafas there are other NPC's that are to be killed instead of Edwin(a)I agree.

Even if you don't need him, there's no need to cap Edwin - he gives the key to the chest anyway.

i think mistress denna was right to try and kill edwin
i killed edwin as well, i was playing a good party and despise evil, i made minsc kill him as he has such a hatred for him
all i did was attack him without speaking to him

When you meet Edwin again at Copper Coronet. You can talk to him and choose certain phrases to end his existence right in front of the crowd there.

Well I think Edwin is one of the best Mages in the game with all those spells that he can cast. Man he can be one guy that i would want on my side. And to tell you the truth when you add him to the party he is not to bad. He may say a few things he should not, but he does not whine as much as the others you could pick to be with you.
