Hello there, I have the 2000 release of Icewind Dale I and am having trouble running it in XP. I have a 128mb video card and the game looks like crap. I can't seem to find any video settings other than changing the bit rate. I'd really like to change the resolution. Does anyone know of a fix for XP?
Thanks.

Do you have Service Pack 2 with your XP? I've heard that there were problems running IWD with the original release of XP, but the problems tended to resolve when SP2 was installed.

Right click on the shortcut you use to run the game. Go to "properties" on the menu that pops up. On the new window that pops up click the "Compatibility" tab, it's the one farthest to the right out of the three options. There should be a little square box to click, and once you click that a scroll down menu line. I would toy with using Windows 98 or 2000 and testing that out before changing anything else.
All this will do is run the program in the method an older version of windows would have. It won't affect any other programs, as it is selected specifically for that program. Hope that helps.
