Can anyone offer some help as to the best way to beat the Dwarven Statue in the House of Gems?

So don´t waste spells casting at the statue, but use spells before the battle to aid your fighters (e.g. Bless to hit better, Prayer, Bulls Strength to raise strenght, Haste!, Improved Invisibility - whatever your spellcasters have available).
You should have a few magical weapons before that fight so make sure your fighters have some +2 stuff to beat the statue.
The *best* weapon you can have at that point against that opponent is the "Mountain Fist" which can be found in the dwarven dungeons. As far as I remmeber its is a onehanded weapon with +2 against all but +5 against constructs.
