I am working for Bodhi instead of the Shadow Thieves and must now kill Aran Linvail. To do this I must get the key from Gaelan Bayle, unfortunately I killed him. I am now at a standstill in the game and cannot do anything else. What can I do?

Umm...you killed him BEFORE you got the quest...D'oh...methinks you can start again...

After I started working for Bodhi, I was exploring the slums and when I walked in his house he turned aggressive, he was dead before I could pause the game. I do not want to start over, it is my first time playing. There has got to be a way.

Why did you killed him before the quest anyway?
When you killed Gaelan Bayle he should've dropped the key, i think.

P.S. Havn't you got any savegames?

Hm, in that case he should have dropped the key...why did you go in there anyways?!

I killed him long before I knew I would need him again. Is there no way to make the key or automatically open the door or make Gaelan come back to life. I am at a standstill, no quests and no areas to go to.

You can use Power Word: CTRL + J or ShadowKeeper...

You must do that after you have edited the baldur.ini file.

I don't know what either one of those are.

Does this mean you want a spoiler? If he tells you what that is that will be equal to a Very Big spoiler. But if you want to know just ask.

After you've read the top of it scroll to the bottom. There you'll find what you need (teleportation key (use the explore cheat and then teleport behind the secret door)) or you may try and spawn the key.

The first thing I did when i sided with bohdi was go kill that annoying guy. He had the key on him before I got the quest. Did you go back and search the room real good ?

Allright people, I know you are probably sick of me but, oh well. I made the key, and having it does not open the door. If the key is Aran's key. And using explore area then jumping doesn't work because there is not an area to jump too. Thanks for these tips, I'm not bitching, I do appreciate your help. Is there anyway to edit the game to make Gaelan come back?

Do you by any chance know the name of the key?

What door are you trying to open? I believe one of the doors is opened by running across the spinning things and pressing the button

I'd guess you could just enter CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("Gaelan")... that worked for me when I had killed someone out of sequence. He may pop up as hostile, but should have all the items he had before...
