Well i am 100% into thieves and rogues in all rpgs games. but the guile skill in fable (so far as i know) sucks. I made a character intending to be a evil will user just because its awesome. but i really want to make a thief kind of character. can anyone tell me if im wrong to think that the whole 'skill' area is useless?

Well, not entirely useless. Both Speed and Accuracy is good when you're using the bow. As for Guile, I mainly take advantage of it (especially when high level) when it comes to buying and selling as you buy at low prices and sell at high prices.
As for stealing, I really find it pretty useless. Aside from lockpicking, I really found nothing much for the steal skill.

Well I prefer guile over both speed and accuracy because I have stolen at least five suits of plate armor(some light, some dark) and many obsidian weapons. I've made lots of gold from stealing and it has really payed off. Plus in oakvale if you can pick locks, you can go to the items shop at night and pick the lock there. Once you go inside, the door will close and you'll be left with tons of items free for you to steal without getting caught. Then once you're done, all you need to do is pick the lock of the door again to get out. (It would be better to watch for guards through the window before going out, because if they see you, you'll be caught tresspassing.)
