Oops sorry. Here I go again in a new thread
So will I be missing any quests if I choose not to turn Khelgar into a monk?
Does Khelgar's line of quests end when he has completed the three trials or will he receive new quests as a monk?

Thanks.

hi, rass...
...I am pretty much at the end of the story and I have read quite some pages about nwn2 - it looks like the Kelgar-quests are complete, once you can make him a monk. It doesn't matter which way you decide (and IMO he is a much better fighter than a monk. I didn't turn him monk either...)

Well once you're running the keep you have the option of building a temple of the sun soul (or something) in your keep and the master of the temple offers monk training of some sort but I couldnt make him train Khelgar. He kept saying that he could only train someone on the way to becoming a monk master, which Khelgar was...so I dont know whats the deal there but it could offer further Khelgar development.

I think that only works if your PC is a monk, not if one of the companions is one. I built the Sun Monastery too, Khelgar was a monk, but there was never an option for me to have the master train Khelgar, either.

I was wondering how can I finish the trial wherein you need to teach Khelgar not to fight? In my first run, I finished the trial of Ember but ended fighting with Lorne and I thought I lost the opportunity there. On my 2nd run I was hoping to get the trial this time.

If you mean the trial of justice, for me Khelgar always completes this automatically the night before the fight with Lorne.

I see, do I have to speak with him during the night? I just have him fight Lorne. Do I have to win the trial of ember as well?

You have to talk to him during the night. He should talk about how unfair the trial is. You don't have to pick him as your champion against Lorne.
Once Khelgar becomes a monk, he won't trigger any more quests.

(SPOILER ALERT) Lorne is dead..Khelgar not a monk..Neeshka's Quest
My character killed Lorne in the Trial and I have two entries in my journal concerning Khelgar's quest. I visited the Temple of Tyr to start his quest and just before fighting Lorne Khelgar approached offering to fight in my place. He talked about how unjust it was and realized that fighting for a cause is better than fighting just because he liked it(or something like that).
Is Khelgar's quest still active as I don't even remember accepting it and I really want to keep him as a straight Fighter? Does not finishing his quest have any negative impact on the rest of the game??? There is a note to revisit Hlam at the Temple at the end of the last entry on his quest in my journal.
My character is a Lawful Good Paladin. Neeshka wants to prove she is the best thief but it would go against everything my character stands for if I allow her to complete her quest. He is a member of the City Watch and a Squire of Neverwinter on top of it all. Can I allow her to do her quest or is it not neccessary???
Thanks for any help.
Kel

Khelgar's quest is optional. But if you want, you can go to the Temple of Tyr and complete part of it without Khelgar becoming a monk.
Neeshka's quest is also optional. She's trying to make another rogue look bad, so I guess there's some leeway depending on how you want to look at it. Plus. if you're balking at the Collector bit, the Collector isn't exactly a nice guy, and you can rob him without killing anybody.
