Sorry if this has been asked, but would it be possible to make a death field? Something like constant effect:

Resist Fire 100%
Fire Damage (any amount of damage) (any distance)

so that you wouldn't get fire damage done to you, but would fire damage go around you, basically making a death field? Or would your resistance to it eliminate the damage around you?

I think you would have to make the resistance within 1 ft. or 0 if possible of self, and the damage a larager radius.

so there's a distance on resist spells? so then could you make escorts die less by giving yourself, say, fire resistance 100% in 50 feet and make people you're escorting immune to fire?
