I think I have been trying everything now and I can't seem to do any damage to the demi lich in the dock district. I am now starting to get gray hair because of this!!!

I have read some tactics but non has worked so far.

any good ideas???

The tactic with immunity to aburation worked out fine for me. Things that damage the lich, daystar blade, staff of magi or fire elementals. Dont forget to get 2 ring of the gaxx.

You need weapons of +4 enchantment or better to hurt the demi-liche. Melf's minute meteors works as well. THe staff of Rynn for sale at the Adventurers Mart is propably the closest and easiest to get hold off. Good luck to you and remember that with a scroll of protection from magic, wich can also get from the Adventurers Mart, he can not hurt you. Hope that compensates for the frustration you must have felt.

Melfs Meteors will also hurt him

I was a bit disappointed at the effects of Sunray on the Demi-Lich ... there was none.

While I did 1046 damage to his other Lich-form (or at least one of the three Liches you need to defeat to get him out of his closet ... eh ... coffin), he didn't even get a scratch.

That's one of the reasons why I posted this question. It's very frustrating to throw all the best you have at him and nothing happens!! Melfs Meteors did 1 damage but the big damage came from the fire elements. (loved that ring by the way)

Since the quest was not exactly part of the story, i think they decided that thay would give you a near impossible task.
